Cocokind
Cocokind is rated Fair for its personal care products because it has started to improve its products and packaging, but its sustainability information appears very out of date.
Much of Cocokind's sustainability information hasn't been updated in over 5 years. We hope for some updates soon to be able to re-assess the brand. Cocokind has previously committed to avoiding some climate-harmful ingredients, but appears to still use palm oil-derived and petrochemical-based ingredients that pose a significant threat to the climate.
On the plus side, Cocokind provides product-level carbon footprint data on every box and offsets a portion of its supply chain through its sustainability fund. It has made efforts to reduce its plastic packaging use and waste. Cocokind's packaging includes bioplastics and FSC-certified materials, and it details exact packaging material breakdowns on a product-level, along with recycling and reuse guidance.
We have not yet evaluated the ingredients and packaging of Cocokind's beauty products.
