Saie
Saie is a sustainability leader in its industry. It intentionally minimizes resource use and environmentally harmful ingredients while also providing high transparency into its ongoing initiatives and goals, which is especially difficult for small brands.
Saie succeeds in its commitments to avoid ingredients that pose a threat to the climate, including parabens, phthalates, other petrochemical-based ingredients, uncertified palm oil or palm oil-derived ingredients, and harmful suncare ingredients. Commons didn't find evidence of these or many other environmentally-harmful ingredients in its products.
Saie uses primarily recycled plastic, as well as FSC-certified paper, bioplastics, and biodegradable or recyclable materials. It also offers a takeback partnership with Pact Collective to help lower its waste footprint. It tracks the efficacy of this partnership and has goals for increasing its customer participation. It tracks its emissions overall, and has reduction plans for reaching net zero by 2039.
