Mrs. Meyer's is rated Fair because it has started to improve its products and packaging, but still has room to grow.
Mrs. Meyer's has committed to avoiding many ingredients that pose a threat to the climate, including parabens, phthalates, petrochemical-based ingredients, uncertified palm oil, and PFAS. It has reduced its waste and emissions by using concentrated formulas for some of its products, encouraging reusing its containers, offering lower-waste refills for most of its products, and reducing its packaging plastic use. However, while Mrs. Meyer's has made commitments, it still uses some ingredients that pose a significant threat to the climate, including petrochemical-based ingredients. Mrs. Meyer's uses primarily plastic packaging of a virgin or undisclosed source, which contributes greatly to waste production and excess energy use.
