Transparency & Reporting
Everlane has a dedicated sustainability page on their website with information about materials, labor practices, emissions measurement, emissions reduction, supply chain partners, and production waste. However, it is not prominently displayed. Larger brands have a greater responsibility to make this information clearly available due to its outsized impact. Everlane has a detailed annual impact report, with a clear, impact driven strategy and progress reporting. The latest annual report is from 2023.
Emissions Tracking
Everlane internally measures and publicly reports its overall company-level emissions. Everlane identifies its top driver of emissions, by including detailed breakdowns.
Emissions Targets
Everlane has GHG emissions targets that are science-aligned and SBTI-approved. These targets are on the medium and long-term, and progress has been reported on them in the last year. They do not appear to be on track for these goals. Everlane offsets emissions primarily through customer opt-in shipping offsets, not an internal program.
Supply Chain & Labor
Everlane publishes specific information about some of its supply chain partners (across Tier 1 and 2). It has a supplier code of conduct, which requires regular audits of partners, allows collective bargaining, prohibits forced labor, disallows subcontracting, and more. It does not make mention of a living wage.
